Four Corners!!??!?!?

June 4, 2011 – we were so close, we just had to do it.  It started out as an expedition to find a trading post that would have a real Navaho (not foreign made) pot – but of tiny dimensions, and a true Navaho flute. Well we were disappointed on both counts despite visiting 4 different “Trading Posts”.  The sign said we were only 45 miles from the Four Corners Monument so we simply had to do it, knowing full well what a tourist trap we were entering!  Two pieces of Navaho Fry Bread later, we escaped back to our camp at the Navajo National Monument.
